HORSEBOX SEATING
Curved living-area seating reupholstered in cream leather with contrasting black leather piping.
Combining a living space with accommodation for a horse at the rear, this horsebox called for upholstery that felt at home within its timber-lined interior. John reupholstered the living-area seating in cream leather, finished with contrasting black leather piping. The work also included a front cab seat, carrying the upholstery project through to the driving compartment.
Pale cream leather brings lightness to the surrounding timber. The black piping traces the cushion edges and divides the backrests into distinct panels, making the curves and proportions easy to read. Fine leather grain and gentle folds around the shaped edges add texture to an otherwise simple combination of materials.
Seen together before installation and then fitted back into the vehicle, the upholstered sections show how individual pieces come together as a continuous seating area. The finished result gives the horsebox’s living space a fresh, coordinated appearance while retaining its existing layout and character.
