HISTORIC KART SEAT
Bespoke faux-leather upholstery for the British Historic Kart Club
Made for the British Historic Kart Club, this bespoke seat brings tailored upholstery to a distinctive historic racing kart. Black faux leather complements the orange chassis, with stitched channels giving the seat a simple, understated finish.
The upholstery comprises a shaped backrest, seat cushion and padded side panels. Matching black piping defines the edges, while silver press studs provide a neat finishing detail to the fixing flaps. Each element follows the compact proportions of the kart, creating a coordinated interior around its exposed frame and mechanical components.
The photographs show the upholstery as separate pieces, fitted to the bare chassis in the workshop and installed in the completed kart. Together, they document the relationship between the individual upholstered components and the finished vehicle.
