PANELLED MEDIA WALL

Natural oak storage beneath pearl-toned upholstered panels, framed with dark painted timber.

John made this bespoke oak cabinet and upholstered media wall as a coordinated installation. The base combines drawers and open compartments, with recessed shelving and a cupboard built into the side of the taller surround.

The wall panels are upholstered in satin fabric-faced vinyl, giving their pearl-toned surface a subtle sheen. Dark painted timber edging defines each panel and frames the central area intended for the television, contrasting with the softly padded upholstery and natural oak below.

Combining cabinetmaking and upholstery, the commission brings storage and a distinctive decorative backdrop together in one fitted piece.
