Bespoke upholstered headboards and matching end-of-bed storage, handmade in two complementary colour schemes.
John made and upholstered the headboards and end-of-bed storage boxes for these two bedroom settings. Each set pairs a simple rectangular headboard with matching upholstered storage, with ivory piping defining the edges.
In the twin bedroom, a single wide headboard spans both beds, accompanied by two individual storage ottomans in slate-blue fabric. The second bedroom follows the same approach in a warm sand colour, with a broad headboard and a matching box at the foot of the bed.
The ottomans combine padded upholstered lids with timber storage interiors. Fabric pull tabs keep the exterior understated, while the open-lid view reveals the hinges and lid support inside. Together, the pieces bring John’s furniture-making and upholstery skills into one coordinated commission.
